I think the problem is actually with the WWW-Authenticate header.
It is supposed to contain challenge information, whereas in your trace it only
has the value "1" (the first arg should be the scheme, e.g. digest).
But I wouldn't expect to see WWW-Authenticate in a 200 OK response, it should
only be seen in a 401 or 407...?
