I'm not an expert on this topic, but it sounds like kismet is setting your card
in monitor mode, and then libpcap provides packets which WS is also able to
capture.

I've closing this one, as WS depends on libpcap for this. So unless libpcap
transparently adds a way to set the monitor mode, we can't do anything about
it.
