Someone obviously needed the flexibility to explicitly tell the dissector which
version, so it was added there rather than rely upon the field setting.  If you
are always using the RFC version of the protocol, there is no harm in setting
your preference as I suggested.

It looks from the code as if the RFC version (rather than draft 16) would be
the default preference setting.

Was it set to the wrong version, and if so, does changing it help?
