The preference is just there to help the dissector get it's hand on RTP events
of which the payload type isn't negotiated in the capture (like with SDP). It
might be that the current SDP dissector doesn't setup the rtp.pt subdissector
table correctly. But it could also be another protocol. This can only be
determined if you attach a sample capture to this bug report showing this
problem.
