I'm familiar with
the PRTCMNTRC and have downloaded the sample file
iseries.cap.
The spool file
output of PRTCMNTRC is just a normal spool file, but iseries.cap is not only
ASCII, but also seems to be double-byte format.
Could you ask the
poster of iseries.cap how the AS400 spool file was moved to the pc or if their
AS400 has double byte enabled?
If there is no good
answer, I'll write a routine to stick a hex FFFE in the
beginning of the file and insert a hex 00 after every byte.
I can also send the
comm traces in other formats, if it will be of any assistance.
