I watched Avaya IP phones connect to an IP Office. All the phone features and the call set up was in the non-standard messages wrapped in H323. I have traces at the office but not here, so I can't send examples until later.

Is there any body who have any experience with Avaya IP solutions, like Definity IP PBXs, and Avaya IP soft-phones?

Because I knew from Avaya website that they do support H323 protocol and they can connect you to MS Netmeeting, but if you took an ethereal packet capture and filtered h225 messages you will find only group of empty messages with NonStandardControl field filled alone.

Please can any body give more info about actual way Avaya IP is implemented? Are they using H323? Are they using another protocol, so what is that protocol? Any help to know how to parse these packets?

NOTE: a sample outgoing call packet capture is attached.
