all these can provide you with uptime/downtime statistics.
 
Ethereal is mainly used for micro-inspection of network traffic, you appear to be looking for a higher level tool.

Hi all,
 
Can any body suggest how do I measure the FTP downtime. Basically FTP is stopped due to handing over between different cells for mobile network.
 
I wanted to measure the downtime of FTP when the mobile moves over.
