I've installed Ethereal vers. 0.9.11 with WinPCap 2.3.

When I try to trace a telnet session for example, I only can see one side of the conversation, for example, from my computer, 172.16.8.147 to the server in 172.16.11.34, this is that appears in the ethereal window:

No. Time Source Src port Destination Dst port Protocol Info

2 0.001205 172.16.11.34 telnet 172.16.8.147 1979 TCP telnet > 1979 [PSH, ACK] Seq=3130211959 Ack=3053100679 Win=8192 Len=0

3 0.026784 172.16.11.34 telnet 172.16.8.147 1979 TELNET Telnet Data ...

4 0.595439 172.16.11.34 telnet 172.16.8.147 1979 TELNET Telnet Data ...

5 1.832522 172.16.11.34 telnet 172.16.8.147 1979 TCP telnet > 1979 [PSH, ACK] Seq=3130212514 Ack=3053100699 Win=8192 Len=0

6 1.869321 172.16.11.34 telnet 172.16.8.147 1979 TELNET Telnet Data ...

I can only see traffic from the server to my computer, but where is the traffic from my computer to the server ?? Excuse my ignorance if this a stupid question, I'm a newbie with ethereal...

Best regards,

Joan
