Beats me.  I don't know whether Ethereal would work with the current 2.0
versions of GTK+ and GLib, but I suspect it wouldn't.

I can't do any work tracking this down; you'd probably need somebody
familiar with the low-level Windows GDI/etc. stuff to find out what
GTK+ is doing wrong.
