Wireshark · Ethereal-users: [Ethereal-users] v0.9.1 Doesn't Save Windows Geometry Settings?

Hi All,

I'm using Ethereal v0.9.1 under Windows 2000 sp2 and I find it a
tremendous tool.

Ethereal's release notes for v0.9.1 say that it now saves the window
geometry settings.  For me, the window location and size don't seem to
stick under Windows 2000 (or Windows 98).

Ethereal looks for a ethereal.conf during startup but doesn't find it. I
tried forcing a Preferences save to create an ethereal.conf file but
Ethereal did not create one.

Am I doing something wrong?  Maybe the windows geometry saving code is
not for Microsoft Windows?
