I had a look at the sources of Ethereal 0.9.0.
I think the bug is somewhere in file pcap_util.c

GList *get_interface_list(....)
It is advisable to substitute part of this code with the one provided with
windump, in particular that one present in windump/win32/src/w32-fzs.c.
If I have time, this evening I will try to create a patch.
