Wireshark · Ethereal-users: [Ethereal-users] running ethereal on aix

Hi all,

I installed the binaries for ethereal,glib,gnu.gettext,gtk+,perl and
libpcap from the aix website-www.frec-bull.com and I installed all the
files using smit.

Now on the command line when I give ethereal, it gives me a warning

Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

I am running as root.
Has anyone seen this before?
