Dear all,

On the page http://ethereal.planetmirror.com/introduction.html, where the
features of Ethereal are outlined, I have found the next feature, which is
unclear to me:

"Capture files can me programmatically edited or converted via command-line
switches to the "editcap" program."

Would someone like to explain me the meaning of this sentence?
