Ethereal-dev: [Ethereal-dev] error in adding new protocol dissector

hello,
I read README.developer and come to know that to include new protocol file add its name to DISSECTOR_SRC and to DISSECTOR_INCLUDES in epan/dissectors/Makefile.common. I did it.but getting error as
epan/.libs/libethereal.so: undefined reference to `capture_myip'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
how to solve that?
