If it works by manually entering the device-name, you have WinPcap
installed all right. The reason the device doesn't appear in list may be
because some newline (or other control char) in the device description
is confusing the GTK list widget. 

It would probably be better to massage this description so it contains
no newline, <tab> etc. The first part (before a "    |[\r\n]" should be
sufficient to select the correct device.
