I'm not sure there's history in a configure script (as opposed to a
configure.in file from which it's generated) - we don't even keep the
configure script under CVS for Ethereal (tcpdump does, but there's not
much real history there, either, as it's a generated file).

I think he was saying that re-indentation might be useful when, for
example, you're trying to debug a configure script, as you might
actually have to understand what the script is doing.
