Hmm.

A Google search for "Telesystems SLW" found:

	http://www.comptek.ru:8100/learning/wireless/beseda96/aironet1.html

which says:

			Aironet's Business History

1986 FCC authorizes spread spectrum use in the ISM band
1986 Telesystems SLW founded in Canada by 3 former Marconi Radio
engineers to develop spread spectrum wireless LANs
1988 Telesystems obtains FCC approval on first Part 15
	   unlicensed spread spectrum system
1991 Telxon and Telesystems enter an OEM agreement
	1992 Telxon acquires Telesystems
	1992 Wal*Mart deploys Aironet's 900 MHz DSSS in 1800 stores
	   nationwide (approximately 15 units/store)
1994 Aironet created from Telxon's RF Division + Telesystems

...and then Cisco bought them, so I guess 00:40:96 was originally
an OUI for Telesystems, and then became one for Aironet when Telxon's RF
division and Telesystems became Aironet, and then became one for Cisco
when Cisco bought Aironet.
