Wireshark · Wireshark-users: [Wireshark-users] Check Sum Errors

I am seeing more and more Check Sum errors in  my captures, with the description of "could be check sum off loading". I know I can turn it off in the wireshark preferences, but what is causing this? Sometimes I will not see it at all and then other times it is in every packet.
