Hi,
 
I was also looking for a similar mechanism. First, I'm not very familiar with all the features of wireshark... So I captured some of the traffic ( basically t.38 ), and was trying to capture the CNG and CED data, and hopefully play with Cool Edit Pro ...
 
When I get to the cng or cde data, and try to export to a *.raw file I get 1 byte file... I don't see the options of (*.wav or *.au ). And sure if I try to load these files into Cool Edit ( using 8bit mono, unsigned, etc., those std. sampling), I don't get anything really ...
 
Any help with the procedures and/or where to look at ???

If you're saving .au files then it's a conversion of the detected compression
law to 16bit PCM. The code is from Sun, based on the CCITT expansion tables.
That should tell you what levels there are.
