I'm curious if anyone has tried WireShark under Max OS X Leopard?

See comment #2, which notes a bug filed at Apple against the Leopard X11 server (which might be where the problem lies), a bug filed against Pango (which is probably not where the problem lies), and a bug filed against Cairo (which might be where the problem lies). It might also be in GTK+, or possibly even in Wireshark, although it's not clear what Wireshark would be doing wrong.

Workaround: open the Preferences for X11.app, tell it to use "Thousands" rather than "Millions" of colors, quit X11.app, and try again (note: Leopard launches X11.app on demand, so you don't need to restart X11.app after quitting it).
