This is a known problem with OS X on some machines.

Try directly typing the name of the interface in the "Interface:" box in the Capture->Options dialog...

...or try getting Wireshark from Andreas Fink rather than just Fink:

as that version's linked with a version of libpcap that avoids opening wlt devices.
