there seem to be no Wireshark packages for Ubuntu Dapper.

Also, the following link seems to indicate that the problem is known in
the Dapper world, but not solved:

Btw, you should still be able to build wireshark yourself: Just make
sure that the necessary packages are installed. Some of the necessary
packages are glib2, glib2-devel, gtk2, gtk2-devel, pcre-devel.
Make sure that you do not only have the necessary libraries installed
but also their development supplements.
