I certainly wouldn't want that to happen.

The GTK+ bug hasn't had activity in a while 
(http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=438652) unfortunately.  I'm 
sure they would move faster if someone helped them track down what 
changed between GTK+ 2.10 and a previous version that didn't have this 
problem.  Remember that they work for free like us, so motivation and 
time limits how fast things get fixed (especially since they have tons 
of bugs open).
