Hi,

you should have an rpm in your distribution if you're searching for
"Wireshark", not "Webshark" - provided that you're looking for a
network protocol analyzer.

Martin

Greetings,

I am a newbie administrator and I am new to webshark.

Does webshark exist as an rpm anywhere?

I downloaded the latest source version of webshark from the website.

I am experiencing difficulties building webshark 0.99.6 on Fedora Core 3
Linux.

Execution of the "configure" scripts ends in the following error messages:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

checking for GTK+ - version >= 2.0.0... Will use uninstalled version of GTK+
found in PKG_CONFIG_PATH

yes (version 2.10.14)

checking for pkg-config... (cached) /usr/local/bin/pkg-config

checking for GLIB - version >= 2.0.0... Will use uninstalled version of GLib
found in PKG_CONFIG_PATH

yes (version 2.12.13)

checking whether GLib supports loadable modules... no

checking for inttypes.h... (cached) yes

checking whether inttypes.h defines the PRI[doxu]64 macros... no

checking whether %llx can be used to format 64-bit integers... no

checking whether %Lx can be used to format 64-bit integers... no

checking whether %qx can be used to format 64-bit integers... no

configure: error: neither %llx nor %Lx nor %qx worked on a 64-bit integer

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Also, GTK+ and GLIB were installed in /usr/local/lib

I have attached to contents of the config.log file.

Thank you for any assistance or further direction that you can provide.

Stephanie
