Hi,
I understand there no need to move to a plugin to upgrade a dissector.
There are 2 different things:
1 - the upgrade itself
2 - a non technical issue for which it would take to long time to explain here. Gerald Combs is aware about this process.
I will try the suggestions by monday.

Yeah, normally I'd think all the plugins should be converted to regular
dissectors, certainly not the other way 'round.
