Wireshark-dev: [Wireshark-dev] "IEEE 802xxx" vs "802xxx" in "Analyze ! Enabled Protocols"

I note that "Analyze ! Enabled Protocols" and "Help ! Supported Protocols"
show:

...
802.11 MGT
802.11 Radiotap
802.3 Slow Protocols
...
IEEE 802.11
IEEE 802.11 Aggregate Data
IEEE802a
...

Is there any reason why these shouldn't all be
either "IEEE 802xxx" or "802xxx" ?

If these entries can be made consistent then which should be used ??
