Hi,
What OS are you using and what version of Wireshark? If you are using
Windows you could try out the new 0.99.5Pre1 version which has updated
GTK packages which may have fixed the problem already.

Ämne: [Wireshark-dev] Dual screen initial window position & initialwindow
size bugs

Dear wireshark-dev team,

Let me first describe my dual screen setup:
                        +-----------------------+
                        |                       |
+-----------------------+                       |
|                       |    Primary screen     |
|    Secondary Screen   |     (1600x1200)       |
|     (1024x768)        |                       |
|                       |                       |
+-----------------------+-----------------------+

When wireshark starts, the window will appear mostly off the top of the
secondary screen.
There is also a problem that if wireshark was maximised when closed, it will
remember the dimensions it had when maximised, so when the window is
restored it stays large! (I think the usual way to solve this is to
un-maximise the window before closing, if I remember projects I’ve worked
on).

Best regards, and keep up the good work!

Michael Curry
