please give me a definite time frame or the relase in which it is targeted

As others have indicated, we can't give you that, as it doesn't exist.

and one question i have been an user of ethereal for quite some time now, since its remeaned to wireshark what are the components one needs to install as a prerequisite for sniffing .
is it only the latest winpcap

The set of components were not changed by the name changed, and weren't changed by newer releases (as you said "winpcap", you're presumably using Windows; the Windows installer includes the additional libraries Wireshark needs), except that recent releases (I forget whether this happened before the name change or not) might need a component called "ntoskrnl.exe" or "ntmpkrnl.exe" - i.e., recent releases might not run on Windows 95/98/Me, they might only run on NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and maybe Vista.
