1.6.6 wrong wlan.aid, 1.2.9 correct, for same pcap file/same packet

Attached Microsoft Powerpoint slideset shows comparison of 1.6.6 versus 1.2.9,
both on Windows XP SP3, opening same pcap file, filtered for subtype 0x1a
Association ID is at Byte Offset 0x16 in both cases, but Version 1.6.6 does not
interpret the correct byte location (it seems).
