'cf_read' is called each time after 'cf_save', even in the original code.
This patch already committed only solve the GUI problem, a quick and dirty
patch that solve a small problem. First, when you saved a very large capture
file that takes a long time to complete, the dialogue and the status bar
showing "loading". This may worry you about loss of captured frames, while the
saving took place correctly. I never get mention
However, as you say, some infrastructure modifications that will improve the
situation and avoid realoading after the saving that is uncessary. I think
another bug is needed for this, and a volunteer to implement.
I never even received mention in the acknowledgments in the dialog box "About
Wireshark, Authors" along with the other 750 contributors for this patch,
implement these other changes is certainly more complex and take more time.
