Having thought about it, you'd have to fix the vendors who willingly ship
products that don't implement specifications fully, or deviate from them in
some way (i.e. they either don't explicitly identify the protocols that they
support, or they opt for perverse, proprietary variants of them (e.g.
Microsoft's "RNDIS Ethernet" just to be awkward) first.
