The good news is that dissectors
1) are not allowed to use GTK+ (they have to run in the command-line TShark
as well);
2) only need to use POSIX APIs if they need to do their own file I/O for
configuration purposes (they don't need it for simple preferences, Wireshark
offers a simple API for that).
