Actually this was by design:

For the long (default) format, if there are no packets in the capture file
which have been truncated, the "Packet size limit: inferred" line is not
printed (rather than showing "n/a").

The -T output for min & max inferred will show as "n/a".

If there are truncated packets in the capture file then the long form output
will be something like:

...
File type: Wireshark/tcpdump/... - libpcap
File encapsulation: Ethernet
Packet size limit: file hdr: 65535 bytes
Packet size limit: inferred: 20 bytes
Number of packets: 223
File size: 8052 bytes
...

or

...
File type: Wireshark/tcpdump/... - libpcap
File encapsulation: Ethernet
Packet size limit: file hdr: 65535 bytes
Packet size limit: inferred: 20 bytes - 40 bytes (range)
Number of packets: 223
File size: 8052 bytes
...

This approach seems reasonable to me but suggestions are welcome.
