They should be configurable indeed, even for non-color-blinded people. The
problem I ran into when writing the temporary coloring stuff was that the icons
used in the menu's were hardcoded and I did not see a quick way to implement an
icon editor to create the proper colored icons for the menus. Neither did I
know whether the icons could be changed at run-time.

Everybody seemed to be happy with my choices and it got kinda left at that :-)
