I would say that the workaround is to upgrade past MacOS 10.5.8 (to the latest
10.5.x or 10.6), which is simple and free. The problem has to do with dynamic
libraries and us compiling with the libraries on the current revision of MacOS
that the buildbot is running. Using "SDK-Based Development" would probably
resolve this for us

but I'm not sure what is involved since we're using autotools/make/etc instead
of Xcode.
