I'm tempted to write it off as an unknown quirk/cosmetic issue involving the
new packet list in 1.3.6-SVN-33069, given that the correct frames appear if I
filter by m2tp; and relevant information is provided if I select one from the
packet list, or view the protocol hierarchy.

As for some of the other frames that don't seem to be MPEG-2 TS traffic, I
assume that they're either related to baseband tuning; are some sort of
proprietary heartbeat protocol; are related to firmware/initialisation, or are
simply "noise" generated by another device on the bus.
