We were apparently assuming that some address columns - but not all - were
always constant strings; for the other address columns, and some other columns,
we were checking for constant strings and falling through to the default case
for non-constant strings.
Rev 32906 changes that to treat all address columns the same. Hopefully this
won't break anything else; if it does, we need to come up with another fix (we
obviously can't just revert this change...).
