I am interested in the state of the bug # 2252
I could not access it nor search for it.

Which permissions would that be ?
The bug was about adding a dissector for LON which was appearently not
accepted.

In this state i cannot even communicate to the people involved in the
discussion.
I wonder if there is a way how anyone (perhaps me) can rework the code or at
least discuss about it.
