In that case, FWIIW:
I am building an application "similar" to tshark.
So I was trying to compile tshark and prerequisites from
wireshark-1.3.4-SVN-32201 but linking against whatever we have on Ubuntu
Jaunty.
I guess that is the wrong approach, so I am now trying to build the latest
Wireshark version from SVN.
Off topic:
I have build a number of open-source projects from source, and they always need
some tweaking.
However, the Wireshark building worked right out of the box with no tweaking.
Kudos to the Wireshark development team!
