I started to help in the maintenance of the official Debian package and the
/debian in the distributed tar.gz directory forces me to repack the tarball
without the directory, which make the MD5 sums differ.

It would be great if you could remove, or at least rename the directory.

In the past the Wireshark package was a bit outdated, but now i try to keep it
up to date and I plan to create experimental packages for the developer
snapshots as well.
