The Wireshark 1.0 branch is in maintenance mode. That means only bug fixes are
applied to the code base, while new features are developed in the development
tree. See http://wiki.wireshark.org/Development/ReleaseNumbers for the model.
There are enough bug fixes to warrant maintenance releases, while development
continues. See http://wiki.wireshark.org/Development/PastReleases for what has
been and http://wiki.wireshark.org/Development/Roadmap for what is to come.
