I am using DUMPCAP to create a "Ring Buffer" of 4000 capture files.
This works fine.

Dumpcap -i 4 -f "udp port 500 or udp portrange 2000-6000" -b files:4000 -b
filesize:250000 -b duration:900 -w "w:\Captures\Files.cap"

I recently enabled the capturing of VLAN Tag Information as documented in
http://wiki.wireshark.org/CaptureSetup/VLAN

Wireshark correctly captures and displays the Packets with their VLAN .1q Tags.

The DUMPCAP capture files are now Empty.

If I turn off the capture of VLAN .1q Tags by the NIC card, DUMPCAP resumes
collecting packets albeit without the VLAN .1q Tags.

I am assuming this is a bug or am I doing something wrong?

A quick solution would be most appreciated.

Thanx,

John
