I do not see what can be relocated outside of the if(tree) blocks.   Dissection
happens outside of the if(tree).   For example the items "magic", "length", and
"sequence" are calculated outside of the if(tree).   Can you elaborate on what
you mean?   Can you provide an example of the 'tshark' command that would
provide errant results?

Please note I have two if(tree) blocks.   The first one is to initialize the
tree.  The second one is within the loop that handles multiple PDUs within each
packet.
