You are correct; the GTK bug has to do with the 'interactive search' (aka
type-ahead search) functionality of the Windows GtkTreeView widget (used in
various places in Wireshark such as 'Edit Preferences ! protocols' and 
'Decode As').

I've changed the bug summary to indicate the real problem.
