Hi Jim!
I didn't had a look at your actual patch. What comes into my mind is if the
current expert info system is in the best shape of what you are trying to do.
I mean the current mechanism is probably too dynamic to deal with such profiles
and other stuff very nicely.
What if we would replace the current expert info system with something like the
display filter field mechanim? For example something like
proto_register_field_array() for expert infos, e.g.
proto_register_expert_array().
Registering the expert info stuff and only add the specific places (in a
similiar way we currently do it with the display filter fields) might make your
task a lot easier and will also make it much easier and more flexible to work
with the expert output, e.g. providing a list of expert infos and some further
explanations.
