Hello Arun,

It looks like your SSCP preferences problem can no longer replicated with the
recent SVN versions.

While I don't see any changes that were made to specifically address your bug,
the patch for bug 2162 applied in SVN 24023 appears to have resolved the NULL
dereference problem mentioned in Comment #5.

Also in response to your question in Comment #6, a very useful new feature was
recently added to Wireshark: named configuration profiles (SVN 24089). Using
this feature Wireshark can look for an alternate set of configuration files
(preferences, colorfilters, dfilters, dfilter_macros, sscp_users, etc.) in a
sub-folder of the "Personal configuration" preferences folder.

Using the "Configuration Profiles" dialog (Edit -> Configuration Profiles) you
can select which is the currently active profile. You can also force Wireshark
to startup with a specific named profile by using the "-C <profilename>"
parameter.

Can you try a recent SVN and see if this bug is resolved?

Thanks.
