Hello Bill.

The Windows Buildbot just finsihed building the second of two retro Wireshark
packages:

  Version 0.99.8-SVN-23671 (SVN Rev 23671)
  Version 0.99.8-SVN-23674 (SVN Rev 23674)

I could NOT replicate the problem with SVN 23671. I could replicate the
problem with SVN 23674. If you will recall from comment #3, SVN 23674
was the "Update to gtk+ 2.14.2 and glib glib-2.14.4".

It sounds as if one "fix" for Windows based Wireshark might be to regress
gtk+/glib.

But I assume your simple case example might be useful to determine if this
problem is caused by the way gtk+/gib is used within Wireshark or if its a real
gtk+/glib bug with "gtk_combo" as you said "in the current Windows GTK2
(unlikely though that seems)."
