Sunfreeware.com released "0.99.7" back in early November.  I asked the author
about it (since it's now early December and 0.99.7 has not been released yet)
and he said:

"I was not able to get 0.99.6 to build under Solaris and the svn repository
version did build and seems to work. Running wireshark reports 0.99.7 as the
version, so that is what I called the package."

Ouch.

+1 (or +1000?) for Ulf's argument.
