I don't propose to go back to the old ASN.1 helper based implementation for
exactly the reasons Anders mentioned. Also, I'm sorry if anyone got the feeling
this is a request to adjust the dissector to my liking. I really think the
current
output is very hard to read even (or especially?) for occasional SNMP users.
I'm willing to contribute to improve it, but I need guidance how/where to
adjust asn1/snmp/* to influence (simplify) the tree structure (after LEGO's
changes). Are there other good examples where this has been done?
