While I tried to save only the first 8000 packets of a very long trace, I
noticed that the filter "-8000" doesn't filter anything as I expected, but
simply saves all packets.

Using 1-8000 works perfectly.

I've checked this behaviour on both latest SVN and Ethereal 0.10.14.

As the filter 8000- is working as expected, this seems bogus to me and should
be fixed, although the priority is really low.
